According to the mineralogy of a lowgrade NiCuPGM sulfide ore, a leachingflotation process was introduced to process the ore. The leaching tests were focused on temperature, acid concentration, and grinding fineness under normal pressure. Results show that most of Mg and Fe can be effectively leached by 25% H2SO4 with a small amount of copper and nickel loss in leaching solution.
Appliion. Slight yellow or gray yellow free flowing powder or pellet and soluble in water. It is the most powerful collectivity xanthate used in the flotation process of sulfide and metalic ores. It is good collector for Cu/Ni sulfide ore as well as gold associated with pyrite.

At the Western Platinum Pty. Ltd. Base Metals Refinery, converter matte typically contains 48% Ni, 29% Cu, 21% S and –5% Fe by weight, and the major mineral phases have compositions approaching heazlewoodite (Ni3S2), chalcocite (Cu2S) and a Ni–Cu alloy.
USB1 Arsenide depression in flotation of multi . In Sudbury, nickel and copper sulfide minerals are concentrated by the flotation process into a Cu—Ni bulk concentrate, then smelted and converted to give sulfur dioxide, fayalite (iron silie) slag and a Cu—Ni matte.

Drillindied reserves are about 100 million tons of rock containing percent nickel and percent copper. PGEs average about ppm and exceed 1 ppm in massive sulfide units and in flotation concentrates. About 250,000 ounces of PGEs exist in the drilled NiCu resource area (Czamanske and others, 1981). Additional comments
Mar 30, 2001 · A method of determination of Co, Cu, Pb and Ni in nanogram quantities from aragonite is presented. Flotation and extraction of Co, Cu, Pb and Ni is suggested as methods for elimination matrix interferences of calcium. The method of flotation is performed by iron(III) hexamethylenedithiocarbamate, Fe(HMDTC)(3), as a colloid precipitate collector.
Aug 03, 2017 · Flotation tailings from copper production are deposits of copper and other valuable metals, such as Mo, V and U. New hydrometallurgical technologies are more economical and open up new possibilities for metal recovery. This work presents results of the study on the extraction of copper by mixed extractant consisting ptoluidine dissolved in toluene.
The separation, preconcentration and multielemental determination of Cu, Co, Cd and Ni by coflotation on Fe(OH) 3 in natural waters and synthetic media, of average and low salinity, using a colloidal gas aphron of sodium lauryl sulphate as an alternative to the conventional flotation on bubbling air or gas, has been studied. The separation process has been optimised by means of both ...
A process in which manganese is recovered from manganese nodules after the nodules have been treated to recover base metals such as copper, nickel, cobalt, and molybdenum. The process includes the steps of reacting the manganese in the nodules to yield a carbonate and subjecting the manganese carbonate to flotation. The manganese carbonate froth is collected from the top of a flotation cell ...
On the impact of collector mixtures in CuNiPGM ores, literature has shown that mixtures of collectors can result in froth flotation performance improvements such as increased grades and recoveries, increased flotation rate, and improved flotation of coarse particles; all of these achieved under lower collector dosages compared to when a ...
For example, Patra et al. carried out flotation tests using a copper ore in the absence and presence of two fibers, namely, fibrous Ni ore (1–6 wt.% chrysotile fibers) and nylon fibers (1–2 wt.%), and found that a viscous pulp was the key underlying reason for the poor flotation recovery of valuable mineral. High viscosity of pulp was ...
Benchscale flotation tests were conducted on various molar ratios of the selected thiol collectors under different ionic strengths ( mol·dm −3 and mol·dm −3) of synthetic plant water. Increasing the ionic strength of synthetic plant water and SEDTP molar ratio resulted in an increase in water, solids, Cu, and Ni recoveries.
Sulphide ore is treated in the flotation plant producing a coppergold concentrate. The tails from flotation are treated in the magnetite plant to produce a highquality, lowcost iron concentrate. The plant currently produces approximately 15,000 tonnes of concentrate per month at a grade of % copper with credits received for the gold in ...

Jul 12, 2021 · The Complete Collection of Copper Beneficiation Reagents. In the flotation process of the copper mine, the use of flotation reagents to change the surface properties of the mineral is a flexible and effective way to control the flotation behavior. It is also an important reason why flotation can be widely used in mineral processing.
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) has been known as one of the most effective and robust ways to remove suspended solids (TSS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD 5), fats, oils and grease (FOG), phosphorus (P) or nutrients from industrial response to variations in industrial activity, variations in wastewater and water streams and the everdemanding customer requirements, Nijhuis ...
Jul 18, 2013 · A new method for the treatment of Ni–Cu sulphides ores from the Sudbury region by differential flotation is presented. The method exploits the ease of chalcopyrite floatability in complete or virtual absence of collector, but in the presence of sulphur dioxide, an effectivecomplexing agent such as diethylenetriamine (DETA) and a frother.
